– Taking time is taking care –
Wool is a durable, natural material that is naturally dirt- and water-repellent. The placemats are tightly woven with woolen yarn, creating a surface where liquids bead up rather than immediately soaking in, which helps prevent stains from penetrating deeply into the material.
If you do get a stain, it can be easily removed by lightly dabbing it with a lukewarm wet cloth and, if necessary, a small amount of mild detergent. Avoid rubbing to prevent damaging the fibers.
For general cleaning: hand wash separately in cold water using a mild detergent appropriate for wool. Do not soak. Do not wring. Dry the fabric flat (not into direct sunlight).
Each placemat is entirely made by hand, resulting in subtle variations in color and dimensions, making every piece truly one-of-a-kind. These natural imperfections are inherent to the artisanal process which enhances the character & charm of each product.
