Tea Landscape

A unique wall hanging designed for the dining room of culinary tea sommelier Kristin Van Eetvelt. They raise their own sheep, and the wool used for this piece comes directly from their flock. After processing the wool – washing, carding, spinning, and weaving – the panels are dip-dyed in a natural tea vat using tea leaves that Kristin personally collected in scenic locations such as China. The resulting color gradients evoke the landscapes of these places, creating a tactile connection between the textile and the environment where the tea leaves were gathered. This very special project perfectly blends craftsmanship with personal connection, coming together beautifully from start to finish.
